Showcasing Triangle Achievements in Remodeling – 2011 Gold STAR Award for Best Kitchen

Just like in Jericho, the walls came tumbling down in this older home. Four rooms become one, providing a much more up to date open area with space for living, dining and cooking.  This remodel completely changed the look at feel of the entire home!  The homeowners wanted a large open area for entertaining and that is exactly what they got.  Only two columns bracketing an eating island hint at the walls’ removal.

In the center of the area a huge green island contains cabinets, drawers, open shelves, wine storage, electrical outlets, dishwasher, farmhouse sink, and white quartz countertop, trimmed with mission-styled gate legs and nestled under pendant lighting. Top-of-the-line stainless steel Viking appliances include a bottom mount 36” refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a 36” six burner duel fuel range, a range hood, and an undercounter drawer-style microwave. A two-handle pot filler is conveniently mounted above the range. Warm wood flooring adds to the coziness of the areas while canned and undercounting lighting brighten the area. A large built-in stained and glazed pantry provides additional storage in the breakfast area. This newly remodeled open kitchen is not only much more functional and pleasing to the eye, and but will also greatly increase the home’s value.
